How We Select Safari Partners
A private safari should be planned with care, clarity, and genuine local knowledge. Here is how we evaluate the destination partners, lodges, guides, and operators we work with.
Designed for couples, families, honeymooners, and private travelers from around the world.
We believe a private safari should be planned with care, clarity, and local knowledge. African Safari Reserve works to identify destination partners, lodges, guides, and safari operators who understand the expectations of private travelers and can support well-designed journeys across Africa's leading safari regions.
We are honest about what this means. We are a planning brand, not a certification body — so rather than claiming every partner is audited or formally approved, we describe the qualities we look for and the standards we hold a journey to.

- No unrealistic wildlife guarantees
In plain terms
What We Do — and Don't — Claim
We do not claim that every partner has been certified, audited, or formally approved by an external body. Where a genuine accreditation, membership, or partnership exists, we will name it plainly and only when it is real. Until then, our standard is simple: we work with partners whose care, communication, and craft match the private journeys we design — and we review every itinerary transparently with you before anything is confirmed.

Partner Selection Questions
Are your safari partners certified or accredited?
We work with established local operators, lodges, and guides chosen for their knowledge, communication, and track record — but we do not claim blanket certification or formal audits we have not carried out. Where a real accreditation or membership applies, we state it plainly and only when it is genuine.
Do you own the lodges and camps on your itineraries?
No. African Safari Reserve is a planning brand. We curate journeys through trusted destination partners and do not own or operate national parks, reserves, lodges, or airlines. That independence lets us match each traveler to the right camp rather than fill our own beds.
Can you guarantee we'll see specific wildlife?
No honest safari planner can. Wildlife is wild — sightings follow rainfall, season, and movement, not a schedule. We plan around probability, position you in the strongest regions for your dates, and are candid about what to realistically expect.
