Why this route works
Stone Town comes first because it is only 15–20 minutes from the airport and is best explored while you still have energy for it; the beaches follow, when all you want is to stop. The south-east villa comes before the north-east shore so that the one drive between them, about an hour to an hour and a quarter up the coast, carries you toward Mnemba for the finale and keeps the last airport run close to an hour. Three nights at each beach means one day to arrive and two with nothing fixed.
